I'm playing the sick card. because I have a terrible, terrible head cold. that or some really pissed off sinuses. Either way, my head feels like it's going to explode. Heaven forbid I sneeze. I've resorted to carrying around a small bag so that in the event that I sneeze and happen to lose some brain matter, I'll be able to recover anything that was lost.
o.k., I may not be sneezing out my brains. But, it sure does feel like it. Sebi has been taking care of me today. I told him that mommy was not feeling well. He built me a tower of blocks and told me, "there. that should make you feel better mommy." And just tonight, he brought me a balloon and told me, "hold this mommy. this will make you feel better."
At least I'm in good hands.
I really don't feel well at all. It got progressively worse as the day went by. It started last night, with a premonition as I lay in bed and told my husband that I didn't think I would make it. But, here I am chugging along. I did the only thing I knew would help me after we put the babies to bed. I announced that I was going to the store to get something to help mommy feel better. To which Sebastian answered, "you're going to buy candy, aren't you?"
He knows me too well. And as I braved these winter temperatures and headed out for my sugar in a bag (or cure-all, as I like to call it), I realized that going out in the cold, wet weather may just make me worse tomorrow.
Fortunately, I plan well. I bought two bags of candy. One for tonight. And one for tomorrow. I'll check in on everyone that I missed today. I would love to sit here and read everyone's posts, but my back and my head and my feet are telling me otherwise.
I'm off to go lay on the couch with my candy and look as pitiful as I can. I think if I interject a moan and groan here and there, I may just score a foot rub.
