OH NO.

This is a last minute quick, quick post. Because it is 11:49 and I have officially started freaking out. I got home from class and ate a little snack and took a nice hot bath. Then I realized the water was too hot, so I got out and nearly passed out from the heat.

After watching yet another re-run of Grey's Anatomy, I made myself a hot cocoa with the 3 oz of milk left in our refrigerator. Can't wait to make the trip to the grocery store tomorrow morning at 5:45, since it's supposed to be cold and wet- my least favorite weather combination.

Anyhoo, I decided I'd better post and get to bed when suddenly my mind is racing. And it's not racing with questions such as where are the vestibular nerve and semicircular canals located in the body. NO. My mind is suddenly wondering how many cups are in a quart? I can't remember. Wait, now there are 16 oz in a pint. And is it 2 pints make a quart? or is it 4 quarts make a gallon? I will not go to bed until my mind is clear. And now, I'm doubting that there are indeed 1000mL in 1L.

All that time spent worrying about anatomy & physiology and here I find myself the night before my exam flustered over conversions. GREAT.

You're going to do great. Here's a trick for the conversions...(do you really need this?) It would be better to see this in person, but here it is:

Draw a big G on your paper. Almost like a rectangle...not so round. If you divide that G into four quadrants, you can write a Q (again, kind of square-ish) in each quadrant. There are 4 quarts in each gallon.

Ok, in each Q, you can fit 2 P's. So there are 2 pints in each quart. And if you count all the P's in your G, there 8 pints in one gallon.

In each top of the P's you can draw in 2 C's. So there are 2 cups in each pint. Four cups in each quart. And 16 cups in a gallon.

Yeah, I'm a dork.

Oh, and 8 oz in a cup.

So you were right about everything in your post.

STOP WORRYING AND GET SOME SLEEP! :)

Breathe. =) It's 2-2-4. 2 cups in a pint, 2 pints in a quart, 4 quarts in a gallon.

Let us know when you find out. Good luck, Becky, and remember, breathe.

You will do great :) Freaking on the "little" stuff lets the big stuff sink in... really.
