I Love Talking On the Phone With Other Moms

Really, we understand each other. We'll be in mid-sentence and then blurt out a warning to the kids, and then resume our conversation. It's parenting. And multitasking, if you will. We get it, and we roll with the punches.

This afternoon, I got to experience parenting at its height. I called Bonnie on the telephone- because we don't just go to Wal-Mart, we also talk about why we never get around to studying until the day before our test. It's routine. We have a test this Wednesday- and we'll talk about that test right up until Tuesday. Then Wednesday mid-morning, we'll talk frantically about the exam and then, before class, we'll meet up at Whataburger and we'll go over our review.

We manage.

Back to the parenting....this afternoon while we were chatting, Bonnie was telling me that she had the exam review. I lost mine. And we were discussing maybe thinking about looking at it. (We won't. This is also part of our "routine") Well then she blurted out,

"You can't have any candy!" "And put that chip down and eat your pizza!!"

We laughed.
