Top Ten Reasons Why I Think Cleaning House is Over-rated (courtesy of Cheri)

10. Cleaning houses is now considered a profession by many people. So are being a mom and a student. Why would anyone in their right mind work three full time jobs?

9. Let's all just admit we never got why you make the bed that is just going to get messed up again anyways...

8. Does anyone even notice the floorboards?

7. Linoleum is evil and cleaning it is Satan's entertainment. I'd rather not entertain Satan.

6. "If mom's not happy, noone's happy." And mom doesn't clean the house with a smile on her face.

5. I can think of 3 good places to hide a LOT of things.

4. I never got a uniform for this team, so I don't think I should be considered the "star player".

3. You know the expression, "This floor is so clean, you could eat off it." I can't remember the last time we entertained guests to dine on my spanking clean floor.

2. Most people start a project to finish it. This ongoing project will never get finished and will always start from square one. I'm not a strong believer in counterproductivity.

And the number 1 reason why I think cleaning houses is overrated....


1. I'd rather blog.


I don't think anyone I know will ever walk into my house and have the audacity to mention how untidy it happens to be. In fact, in the words of a very wise lady:


"I figure if a mother of little ones has a clean house all the time either she has a housecleaner or she's not spending enough time with her kids!"
