Ah, To Be Young Again

The kids were getting cabin fever in our humble abode so I told Sebastian that I was going to take them to the park. He said if I could wait 2 minutes (45....) so he could have breakfast, he would go with me. So we put the babies in the double stroller, Sebi in the other, slothed on the sunscreen and headed off on our short stroll to the park. It WAS HOT and HUMID! Uggghhh. But always worth it. Once we were there, Sebastian parked himself in one of the swings and had ad it. I thought, "I used to love being on the swing. You feel so light, free, exhilarated......" so I hopped in one next to him and swung away! It was wonderful. Better than I remembered it to be as a child. I did notice that the sling that supports your behind felt a bit snugger than I remembered, but those things are designed for the children, right? Anyway, here I am reliving my youth. Pardon the glasses. I caught a nasty case of conjuctivitis and couldn't wear my contacts. Notice how they are practically falling off of my face. Yeah, I catch that much air :)

Here are Gabi and Pudge. Notice Homer has his hands tucked in. He wouldn't take them out, and I wasn't about to make him - I think he just felt a little more secure that way :)

Oh I am glad to hear that I am not the only one with a child who is going through a "not mommy" phase! I am chopped liver these days. It is so bad that anytime we do something fun she calls me "Daddy" even though he is no where around. arghhh!
