Can I Get A What, What?

And can I also get a show of hands from anyone out there with a son/daughter that saw their mom paint their toenails for the very first time and didn't ask to have their's done also.

And is it wrong to give in? I don't think so. But Sebastian was so adamantly opposed when I got home from taking my final exam (whew! glad that's over, babe! I got another A!!) and I received the statement to "never, Ever, EVER do that again." buzz kill.

And he came home tonight with a bottle of nail polish remover. And questions as how to use it. I told him to get a Q-tip and stick it in his eye. O.k., I didn't say that. But Sebi's toes looked so pretty, and I hadn't even gotten a picture yet....

I did manage to grab this cute video and pics, though. So, win-win. I guess.

Sebastian left Sebi's room tonight, and I believe this is exactly what he said to me, "Sebi wants to be a cowboy and ride horsies."

I am sure he meant pink ponies.

too bad you didn't have any girls....maybe you and Em could swap kids for a few days...just so you both could see the "other" side.
And I dated a boy in high school who let me paint his toes...then I REFUSED to give him the nailpolish remover. I think he REALLY was trying to get in my pants...REALLY TRYING. And if I remember correctly - it worked!

My boys have never requested the nail/toe polish, but if they did I'm sure I would be in at least as much trouble as you are. My hubby is opposed to ChapStick, but--hee hee hee--Evan still uses it and is getting pretty good at hiding it from his dad!!

ROFL... I love it. Aubrey asks me ALL the time if she can paint her toes and nails... and I am mean and lazy and don't.

But that damn Santa Claus brought her her own polishes... so now I have to do it.

Em - is this the same Santa that delivered a LARGE dolphin LATE? Or the one who was done shopping on Nov 1st?
And my husband has an issue with Tommy playing with dolls at school. I told him he was being SEXIST and STUPID. So - I just don't tell him when Tommy does that.
And lots of millionaire ROCK stars wear nailpolish...maybe that will be Sebi's calling....

Both Chris and Tim got makeup when they were two and three - a little powder and blush - while I was putting mine on. It was never a big issue and they're probably a bit embarrassed I post it here now. But the bottom line was, girls want to do things their daddy's do (I "shaved" in the morning with my dad - and it was my face, not the legs I might add!) and boys hang with their mothers a LOT and the occassion inclusion in a beauty treatment does NOT a "future gay man make".

So THIS mother of two hetero boys says CHILL! Love the stick in it his eye comment - you go girl!!

Oh, and now, as Gramma, Ben also gets a wee bit of "powder and blush" primarily wanting to play with the Trish McEvoy brushes more than anything. Jen and Jason are okay with it. The way I look at it, he'll EXPECT women to have the good brands one day so HIS bride will be able to buy top brands! :) Ha!
