Oh, Why Not

You know, that '30 days of repetition makes a habit' saying may be true. Because here I am. I just couldn't resist.

But y'all will be proud of me. I started studying for my exam on the 5th...TONIGHT. Yes. I made myself a reading schedule, because

  • I want to be a more diligent student
  • and I want to stop stressing out the day before/day of my exams
  • and I never, ever, EVER want to have to read six chapters in one day again. That blew.

And I am so very proud of myself because I had set aside naptime as my designated reading time. But don't we all know that life happens. Sebi woke up 13 minutes into his nap shrieking. His ear was beat red and he kept yelling, "oouwiee, owiee, auwee?"...oh, to hell with the spelling, y'all get it - ear infection.

My poor angel. So I spent the next 2 hours and 17 minutes holding him and cycling through periods where he would fall asleep for about 10-14 minutes, and then wake up and re-cry the aforementioned phrase. My heart hurt. And so did my shoulders and my back, because I was trying to hold him as upright as possible and as comfortable (for him) as possible. Which, coincidentally for me was the absolute most uncomfortable position I could be in for over 2 hours.

What are you gonna do? He's my child. My first born. Not that I wouldn't do the same for the other two, but you hear where my heart pangs are coming from.

Anyway, so tonight

  • after a terribly late dinner at 10:00 (I KNOW!)
  • and then getting Sebi to bed by 10:30 (I KNOW!)..*he was up so late because he ended up finally napping until 7:00*, and I just couldn't bear waking him because he looked so peaceful...
  • and I needed a break.

So, after ALL that. I read.

The most boring chapter I have ever read in my life. (I'm sure I'll say that again tomorrow) But, I read.

Oh, and Bonnie and I are going to start training for our 1st marathon on Monday.

Holy Smokes, what a day. So you have to study and read each day and run like 18 miles each day? That is dedication :)

Post your training schedule so we can all follow along! thatslife2.0 posted here schedule on her blog as a link to some calendar thing - I will find it and send it to you :) - I mean, only if you want us yelling, "You inspire us" and "Keep Running" and "You can do it" and such.

Poor little Sebi. I hope he is doing better today.

Way to go, Super Student!! It should feel good that you read yesterday even after such a yucky day ahead of the reading.

My husband is training for his first marathon, but I don't know if he's on any sort of a schedule. Great job!!!
