Friday, the babies had their 1 year well check complete with a round of 3 shots each. Needless to say, it was not a top experience for the little guys. Along with all the usual ho-hum, the doctor said "No more bottles. Just get rid of the bottles by the end of the day." We started on the mission Saturday after we bought some sippy-cups. (I'll admit, I am a wee bit late introducing them, so I am to blame for this one.) Things did not go smoothly. As a matter of fact, this was a nightmare! My poor babies were so angry - and THIRSTY!!! I phoned the after hours clinic Sunday morning and was given a little less harsh advice on weaning them off the bottles. So we are taking a more gradual approach and for the time being, we have chosen to abort mission...

Ummm, that is the funniest thing I've read in a while!! Poor mommy, what a rough day! Doctor WAS crazy. I'm glad it all worked out :-) Happy weaning!!
