In Appreciation

This one may not be understood to all, but it will be clear to me. Today was the boys' last day at school until next school year. Thank you, God for pouring out this blessing.

To each of the teachers, I have written a special poem designed around their relationship with each of my boys.

Ms. Jaimes,

I may have been a challenge here and there…. and then again,

And you have gone the extra mile to keep me till the end.

A smile or hug you offered me- even when I got mad,

A touch and pat and “good job” you’d say which always made me glad.

I can’t express to you how much I do believe,

That who I’ll be one day will be what you have dreamed you’d see.

And as I age you may not see the man I’ll grow to be,

But know that you were there for me and planted one great seed.

- love, Gabriel

Mrs. Baker,

I don’t know how you handle all of us and all you do.

But as you did all that you’ve done, before your eyes I grew.

I started out reserved and watched you, checked you out

And then you seemed o.k. to me and then I had no doubt.

No doubt that you were here for me any time I asked,

No doubt that I was a priority and one you’d get to fast.

Your patience with my friends and I is warm and comforting,

And I’ll look back and think of you- good days remembering.

-love, Homer

Ms. Varghese

I don’t know how to say goodbye and so I’ll just say this,

I cannot express to you how much you will be missed.

I’d like to give you one last hug before I go away,

But one last hug just won’t replace a hug for every day.

So I’ll just give a hug for every day you spent with me,

And when you’ve gotten all those hugs I’ll give some more for free.

-love, Sebi
